Turkmen Foreign Minister meets with Taliban officials

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Murdov, who arrived in Kabul this morning with a delegation, met with senior Taliban officials at the citadel.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that the two sides discussed economic, security, trade and humanitarian aid issues.

Mujahid added that during the meeting, the Turkmen Foreign Minister, while emphasizing his country’s continued assistance to Afghanistan, promised that Turkmenistan’s cooperation with Afghanistan would continue.

According to him, during the meeting, both sides also promised that the work of TAPI project will start as soon as possible.
