The payment of salaries to government employees was delayed by the Taliban government

According to a letter issued by the Taliban interim administration to government departments and companies, the payroll process for the employees of these departments will be suspended until the salary table is amended.

The letter states: “The salaries of all employees and employees of the above-mentioned departments and companies will be suspended until the Board of Directors completes the amended schedule of their salaries through legal procedures and issues their order orders.”

However, government employees have not been paid for more than three months and are complaining about the poor economic situation ahead of winter.
