Tariq Arian: Regular lists of targeted assassinations in Kabul and other provinces

Tariq Arian, a former Interior Ministry spokesman, tweeted that regular lists of targeted assassinations were being carried out in Kabul and other provinces.
“Before the fall of Kabul, a member of the Qatari bureau had said that whenever the Taliban came to power, they would set up a special secret unit to assassinate government officials,” he wrote. “It was discussed in a small, informal meeting.”
“The information now shows that regular lists of targeted assassinations are being carried out in Kabul and other provinces,” he added, stressing that the section has now been activated.
Tariq Arian makes the remarks as targeted assassinations have increased in the Kabul and other provinces since the Taliban took control.
A few days ago, five people, including a mosque imam and a civil activist, were assassinated in three targeted attacks in the capital of Nangarhar province.
A few days after that, the bodies of four female civil activists in the area of Khalid bin Waleed town were found in the first district of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
