US women senators have called on Biden to come up with a plan to protect Afghan women’s rights

Some US women senators have written to President Joe Biden calling for a comprehensive plan to protect the political, economic, social and fundamental rights of Afghan women.
The four American women senators, including Kristen Cinema, Elizabeth Varane and Amy Klobuchar, have sent a letter to the US President.
“We urge your government to develop a comprehensive plan to protect the political, economic, social and fundamental rights of Afghan women and girls as a result of the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan,” the letter said.
The senators stated in the letter that women have made progress in many areas over the past 20 years and that the current Taliban government is working to eliminate these rights.
“Afghan women and girls need us to act now,” the letter said, emphasizing Biden’s promise to hold the Taliban accountable for violating women’s rights. “We want a plan from you, and we look forward to it.”
