UNICEF: 640 children died in the first six months of this year as a result of violence in Afghanistan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says more than 460 children have died in the first six months of this year as a result of violence in Afghanistan.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says more than 640 children have died as a result of violence in Afghanistan in the first six months of this year.
Emphasizing that children are vulnerable to unexploded ordnance left over from the war, the agency said that the current situation of children in Afghanistan is a matter of concern and that protecting children should be a priority for the government.
“We are concerned about children who have died as a result of this year’s bombings,” said UNICEF Director Cementa Mort. “Even the death of a child is very sad, every citizen should try to protect children.”
“We are very concerned about the situation of children in Afghanistan,” said Heather Barr, a member of Human Rights Watch, who called for help in improving the situation of children in Afghanistan. The situation in this country is not good at the moment and it is getting worse. But the issue that affects us the most is hunger and malnutrition. “Three-tenths of a million children in Afghanistan are malnourished, and according to the United Nations, one million of them are at risk of death.”
Recent wars in Afghanistan have affected children.
Currently, the majority of children in Afghanistan are facing poverty and hunger.
