Mojahedin: In the absence of a religious problem, women can participate in the cabinet

A Taliban spokesman says new Taliban officials will not bar women from participating in the interim government unless there is a religious problem.
“If necessary and in the absence of religious problems, women can participate in the cabinet,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told TV 1.
But he stressed that former political figures and elites could not be included in the next government, adding: “None of the political figures in the former Afghan government will be included in the future political structure.”
The international community, meanwhile, has repeatedly called for an inclusive government in Afghanistan that includes all ethnic groups.
