Turkey is concerned about the poor humanitarian situation in Afghanistanv

The Vice President of the Turkish Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation says that the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is very different from other critical regions of the world.

“The situation in Afghanistan today is very sad,” said Sin Oruç, vice president of the Turkish Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation, in an interview with Anatolia News Agency. We know all the crisis areas in the world, including Yemen, Syria and Iraq. We operate in these countries. Africa is facing the problem of poverty and hunger. But none of these countries are comparable to the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan. The current humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is dire. “We have to help the people of this country.”

Emphasizing that the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan is very different and dire from other crisis areas in the world, he added that the Humanitarian Support Foundation of Turkey continues to provide humanitarian support in different parts of Afghanistan, especially for people under 25 years of age.

“In the coming days, one million children are likely to die of malnutrition,” he added. “The bakeries are full of people who wish someone would give them a loaf of bread.”

According to him, as a result of the international community’s sharp reaction to regime change in Afghanistan and the cessation of international aid and Islamic countries to this country, the Afghan economy suffered a major blow and this has deepened the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
