Mottaki met with Pakistani Foreign Minister

The acting foreign minister of the Taliban government met with the Pakistani foreign minister in Islamabad.

Taliban Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi tweeted that the group’s acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Mottaqi, had met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.

Balkhi wrote that during the meeting, the two sides discussed issues such as regional connectivity, bilateral relations, security, economic, transit and immigration issues.

He said the two sides also agreed to set up a high-level bilateral committee to facilitate trade on the road to prevent business losses.

Meanwhile, Taliban acting foreign minister Amir Khan Mottaqi left for the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
