Uzbekistan’s foreign minister says the country wants the Taliban to join the world.

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamlov said in a televised interview that his country was not in favor of isolating the Taliban in the world and that the international community should enter into a constructive dialogue with Afghanistan’s new rulers.

The Uzbek foreign minister added that the situation in Afghanistan was catastrophic and that international countries should allow the Taliban access to the seized assets by lifting sanctions.
