Russia’s readiness to participate in trade projects in Afghanistan

Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan says his country is ready to participate in trade projects in Afghanistan.

“We are ready to participate in a number of projects, mainly on a commercial basis,” Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan, told a Russian media outlet.

“We are talking about gas pipelines, electricity and railways,” he added.

“Russia has no plans for the future of Afghanistan’s mines,” he said.

According to Kabulov, Afghanistan needs an independent and self-sufficient government with friendly relations with Russia.
