The Taliban announced the reopening of the UAE embassy in Kabul

A Taliban spokesman says the UAE has reopened its embassy in Kabul.

Zabihullah Mujahid, deputy minister of intelligence and Taliban spokesman, tweeted that the UAE had resumed its diplomatic mission in Afghanistan by raising its flag over its embassy building in Kabul.

He stressed that the UAE and the Islamic Emirate have good relations with each other, adding that these relations should be strengthened.

Mujahid called the UAE move a positive step.
