Pentagon: The United States continues its fight against terrorism in Afghanistan

The US Secretary of Defense says his country is still committed to fighting terrorism in Afghanistan.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told a security meeting that the United States would continue to fight terrorism in Afghanistan.
“Even though we left Afghanistan, we will continue to fight terrorism there,” he said.
According to him, the fight against terrorist groups such as ISIS and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan requires cooperation.
However, after the Taliban took control, the activities of terrorist groups, especially ISIS, have increased in most provinces of Afghanistan.
The group has carried out several deadly terrorist attacks in Afghanistan’s provinces so far, killing or injuring dozens of civilians.
