Suicide of a girl in Daikundi

Sources in Daikundi say a young girl hanged herself last night in Nili, the provincial capital.

The source said the young girl’s suicide was caused by family problems.

According to them, this girl was a second year student at Bamyan University.

About a month ago, a bride was hanged in the center of Daikundi province.

However, violence against women has reportedly increased in most Afghan provinces since the Taliban took control.

Earlier, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) also expressed concern about the rise in underage marriages and violence against women in Afghanistan.
