Pakistan: Afghanistan is heading for a catastrophe and the West must help

Pakistan’s national security adviser says Afghanistan is heading for a new catastrophe and the West must help.
In an interview with a foreign media outlet, Pakistan’s national security adviser Maid Yusuf said the West needed to change its attitude towards Afghanistan.
He added that the international community, especially the West, must provide food aid to the people of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the value of the national currency against the dollar has fallen to an unprecedented level, with the US dollar trading at 104 afghanis in the Kabul foreign exchange market, which has pushed up the price of raw materials in the market.
Unemployment and economic poverty have also increased as a result of recent developments in the country, which has led to a large wave of migration from Afghanistan to neighboring countries.
