A gas balloon explosion in Paktia injured 15 members of a family

Local officials in Paktia say a gas balloon exploded in the provincial capital, injuring 15 members of a family.

Khaleqiyar Ahmadzai, head of information and culture in Paktia province, said that the incident took place yesterday evening in Gardez, the capital of the province, and as a result, 15 members of a family were injured.

According to him, the injured have been taken to the hospital and the condition of four of them is critical.

Ahmadzai added that all the members of this family are residents of Jaji Ariub district who have been displaced to Gardez city.
