The Taliban foreign minister met with his Turkish counterpart in Islamabad

The acting Taliban Foreign Minister met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşo Oghlu today on the sidelines of a meeting of OIC member states.

Taliban Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi tweeted that the group’s acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Mottaqi, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşo Oghlu on the sidelines of a meeting of OIC member states in Islamabad.

Balkhi added that during the meeting, the two sides discussed diplomatic relations between the two countries and bilateral cooperation.

According to him, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşo Oghlu also assured the investment of Turkish companies and Turkish businessmen in Afghanistan.

Taliban foreign ministry spokesman added that Amir Khan Mottaqi had assured the Turkish foreign minister that the security of Turkish institutions and companies in Afghanistan would be fully ensured.
