Imam Ali Rahman called on his country’s parliament to work to help Afghanistan

The President of Tajikistan has instructed his country’s parliament to do its utmost to help the people of Afghanistan.

“Tajikistan, as Afghanistan’s closest neighbor, cannot remain indifferent to the plight of its suffering people, I consider it necessary for the international community to provide targeted humanitarian assistance to the suffering people of Afghanistan,” Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon said in a message to his country’s parliament.

He added that in the process, the Tajik government was instructed to take all possible measures to provide humanitarian assistance to the brotherly people of Afghanistan.

The President of Tajikistan stressed that the structure of government and the way of governing the country should be determined by the will and opinion of the people of Afghanistan,

He added: “We believe that the only way to achieve stability in Afghanistan is to unite all the people and establish a government of interests and representatives of all nations and political forces.”

According to him, Afghanistan is experiencing a deep political and humanitarian crisis that can have serious consequences in the long run.
