Blinken: We expelled those who wanted to leave Afghanistan

The US Secretary of State says that all US citizens who wanted to leave Afghanistan have been expelled by the US.

“So far we have expelled about 500 people who wanted to leave Afghanistan,” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken told a news conference.

“Our citizens who wanted to leave Afghanistan, we helped them to leave the country in almost a few months,” he said.

Meanwhile, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said yesterday that Washington’s commitment to expelling Americans and Afghans who had worked with foreign forces and were still in Afghanistan was strong.

Yet many Americans and Afghans who have worked with foreign forces and whose lives are in danger are still reportedly in Afghanistan, according to reports.
