Russia send 10,000 doses of Sputnik Light vaccine to Turkmenistan

The Russian ambassador in Ashgabat announced at a press conference that a Russian vaccine had been sent to Turkmenistan.
“The total amount of corona vaccine sent from Russia to Turkmenistan is about 600,000 doses,” Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin told a news conference in Ashgabat.
“It is very important that Turkmenistan provides 10,000 doses of Sputnik Light vaccine free of charge from Russia, and that Russia and Turkmenistan have a full mutual understanding in this regard,” the Russian ambassador said.
“He is aware of the rate of vaccination in Turkmenistan,” he said, adding that “about 80% of the country’s population has been fully vaccinated. These are very good indicators. In Russia, for example, the figure is about 60 percent. “I know that Turkmenistan is planning to increase the vaccination rate to 90% – this would be great at the level of the best countries in the world.”
