Protesting women in Kabul demanded the release of Afghan Assets

A group of women in Kabul marched on the release of Afghanistan’s frozen assets.

Carrying banners today with the slogans “Let us live” “Do not starve us”, the women called on the United States and the international community to release Afghanistan’s frozen reserves.

Millions of dollars in Afghan assets have been frozen in US banks since the Taliban took control.

On the other hand, with the devaluation of the national currency against foreign currencies and the arrival of the cold winter season, more poverty and hunger have gripped the citizens of the country.

Institutions and international organizations have also warned that if this situation continues, there is a possibility of a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
