The Meteorological Department warned of possible snow and rain in 32 provinces

The Meteorological Department of Afghanistan reported the possibility of relatively heavy snow and rain with flash floods in 32 provinces of the country, including Salangs.
The ministry said in a statement issued on Sunday that heavy snow and rain were expected with heavy floods from 3 to 4 January in Kabul, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, Badghis, Faryab, Jawzjan, Balkh and Sar-e-Pul, Ghor, Uruzgan, Daikundi, Bamyan, Samangan and Zabol provinces.
According to the department, heavy snowfall and heavy rain is also expected in Ghazni, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Paktia, Logar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Nuristan, Kunar, Badakhshan, Takhar provinces.
The department estimates rainfall in different parts of the province at 15 to 50 millimeters and snow at 15 to 50 centimeters.
