Taliban governor for Jawzjan: There are no problems on the border between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan

The Taliban governor for Jawzjan province says there are no problems between the group’s forces and the Turkmen border guards.

Mullah Mohammad Shoaib, the Taliban governor for Jawzjan province, said that the Taliban and Turkmen border guards were working in coordination with both sides for border security, and that they would resolve any disputes between them.

He added that Turkmenistan is our neighbor and has had good relations with our people in the past.

Meanwhile, since yesterday, some media outlets have reported clashes between Taliban forces and Turkmen border guards in the Khomab district of Jawzjan province. However, Turkmen officials have denied the allegations.
