The United States will pay teachers if all the schools in Afghanistan are reopened by the Taliban

The US special envoy to Afghanistan has said that if all schools in Afghanistan are reopened by the Taliban, the US is ready to pay teachers.
In an interview with the BBC, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West told that if all girls’ schools in Afghanistan reopen in March, the international community and the United States would be ready to pay the salaries of all teachers.
Meanwhile, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and the UNICEF Education Officer met with the head of the Taliban Ministry of Education yesterday to demand the reopening of girls’ schools in Afghanistan and promised to cooperate in this regard.
However, girls’ schools have not been opened to students in most Afghan provinces since the Taliban took control.
