The UN Secretary-General says the only way to prevent Afghanistan’s economic collapse is to inject liquidity into the country.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres wrote on his Twitter page that Afghanistan’s economy is on the decline and on the brink of collapse.

He stressed that if action is not taken as soon as possible or liquidity is not injected into the country’s economy, lives will be ruined and despair and extremism will grow.

After the Taliban took control, the United States froze nearly $ 10 billion in reserves of the Afghan Central Bank held in that country’s banks.

The US move pushed up the dollar against the Afghan currency and gradually pushed up raw material prices in the country’s markets.

Thus, Afghanistan’s economy is now on the verge of collapse and the people of this country are facing poverty and unemployment.
