The Taliban arrested a civil activist in Herat

Sources in Herat say a civil activist has been arrested by the Taliban in the province.

According to sources, Fayyaz Ghori, a civil activist, was arrested by Taliban insurgents near the official building in Herat province on Tuesday.

But Taliban officials have not yet commented on the civil activist’s arrest, and the reason for his arrest is unknown.

The group has arrested a number of civil society activists, women rights activists and journalists since they took control.
