10 people died as a result of the collapse of the roof of a mine in Baghlan

Local sources in Baghlan say 10 people have died in a coal mine in the province.

According to the Bakhtar state news agency, Maulvi Assadullah Mustafa Hashemi, the head of Taliban intelligence and culture in Baghlan, said that these 10 employees of the mine lost their lives last night as a result of the collapse of the roof of the mine.

He added that three of the miners had been rescued.

Meanwhile, miners have lost their lives or been injured in similar incidents in Afghanistan before.
