Launching a planting campaign in Balkh; 67,000 trees will be planted this year

Officials of the Balkh Department of Agriculture announced the start of a planting campaign in the province.

Officials of the department say that the planting campaign has started in the province and this year they will distribute more than 67,000 fruit and ornamental seedlings to government offices, parks and mosques for free.

Officials of the Balkh Department of Agriculture have also asked the residents of the province to make efforts to maintain and grow these trees.

However, some residents of Balkh province say that due to lack of water and lack of attention, the seedlings that are planted every year along the city roads will dry up and disappear next year.
