Pakistan calls for cooperation with Afghanistan in eradicating polio

Pakistani health ministry officials say the country can eliminate polio in a joint effort with Afghanistan.
Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries still suffering from polio or polio, said Faisal Sultan, Pakistan’s special assistant for health services.
“The two countries can work together to get rid of the virus,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistani health officials announced on Monday that the country wants to cooperate in Afghanistan’s health sector.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Ministry of Public Health recently announced that dozens of children have contracted polio in the past six months.
