Occurrence of traffic accident on Salang highway; 12 people were injured

Officials at the Department of Conservation and Care of Salanges report that 12 people were injured in a traffic accident.

“As a result of a traffic accident on this highway, 12 people were injured, three of whom are in critical condition,” said Obaidullah Obaid, in charge of the maintenance of the Salangs, quoting Hasht Sobh.

Obaid added that the incident took place yesterday in the Shahol district of northern Salang.

According to him, the accident occurred due to the collision of a passenger bus with a loader-type vehicle that was clearing snow on the road.

Obaid said the driver’s carelessness caused the accident.
