World Bank allocates $ 1 billion in aid to Afghanistan

The World Bank has approved a plan to provide $ 1 billion from Afghanistan’s trust fund, which was frozen after the Taliban took control.
“This approach aims to support the provision of basic services, protect vulnerable Afghans, help preserve human capital and key economic and social services, and reduce the need for future humanitarian assistance,” the World Bank said in a statement.
The World Bank added in a statement that in the first step, ARTF donors will decide on four projects worth about $ 600 million that will support the immediate needs of the education, health and agriculture sectors, as well as community livelihoods.
According to the statement, the aid will be provided to Afghanistan through international aid organizations and will not be directly available to the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
However, with the coming to power of the Taliban government, the banking system of Afghanistan was disrupted and people are still complaining about banking problems and are not able to have full and unlimited access to their bank deposits.
