Red Cross: More needs to be done to support the Afghan people

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has said that more needs to be done to support the Afghan people.
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) tweet chairman Ilyon Fillon has expressed grave concern about the plight of people in Afghanistan, saying that people in Afghanistan are more at risk of poverty than ever before.
“Here in Kabul, I see a growing number of beggars on the streets or women standing in line at bakeries, desperately waiting for bread,” he said.
The head of the Red Cross Committee further stressed that more needs to be done to support the people of Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, some international aid agencies have already stated that the economic situation of the people in Afghanistan is worrying and if this situation is not addressed, there is a possibility of a humanitarian crisis.
