Turkey welcomed the announcement of a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine

Turkish Presidency announced that the country welcomes the temporary ceasefire announced in Ukraine for the evacuation of civilians.

Ankara welcomes the temporary ceasefire announced in Ukraine to evacuate civilians from the country, said Ibrahim Kalin, a spokesman for the Turkish presidency.

“We welcome the announcement of a ceasefire to evacuate civilians in Ukraine,” he wrote in a tweet. “We will continue our efforts to make the ceasefire permanent and the outcome of the talks led by our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”

It is noteworthy that Russia has declared temporary ceasefires in order to evacuate civilians from the cities of Kyiv, Mariupol, Kharkov and Third Ukraine.
