The Salang Highway opened to traffic

The Department of Preservation and Care of Salang announced the opening of Salang Highway to traffic.

The department tweeted that the highway reopened to traffic at noon today (Wednesday).

The highway was closed to traffic yesterday due to heavy snowfall and strong winds.

Officials from the highway’s maintenance department say that snow removal operations have been underway on the highway since yesterday, and now passengers can cross the highway.
