A woman was killed by her husband in Baghis

Taliban security officials in Badghis report that a woman was shot dead by her husband in the province.

Ghousauddin Afghan, security chief of the Taliban police headquarters in Badghis, said a woman had been shot dead by her husband two days earlier in the first district of Qala-e-Naw, the provincial capital.

She added that the woman’s husband fled the scene after her murder, and that her body was found in her husband’s house yesterday.

However, the motive for the murder is still unknown.

Last night also, a young girl and boy in Helmand province were killed by their relatives for allegedly having an illicit affair.

Abdul Rahman Badri, spokesman for the Ghor Police Command, said the incident took place in Lal Sorkh village of Tiwara district of Ghor, and that the girl’s brother, who caused the murder, had been arrested by security forces after the incident.
