World Sexual Health and Population Organization: Afghanistan is facing a systematic collapse

The World Organization for Sexual Health and Population (UNFPA) has stated that Afghanistan is facing a systematic collapse and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
In a report released today, the agency described the situation in Afghanistan as bad due to political change, covid – 19 and drought.
“Women and girls suffer the most in Afghanistan,” the report said.
According to the agency, every two hours a mother in Afghanistan dies due to a preventable birth, which worsens the situation.
The World Organization for Sexual and Population Health added that humanitarian partners need support to succeed in their mission, so timely funding, donor flexibility and exemptions are critical.
