A lightning strike in Nangarhar killed two people

Local officials in Nangarhar say two people have been killed in lightning strikes in the province.

Qari Sardar Wali Abu Bakr, the Taliban’s district governor for Lalpur district in Nangarhar, said two people, including a woman, had been killed in a lightning strike in the district last night.

According to him, last night the district witnessed heavy rains with lightning.

In the spring, most of Afghanistan’s provinces experience heavy rains and floods, which cause the destruction of homes.
