Mujahid: Rumors of a change in the post of Prime Minister are not true

A Taliban spokesman says Rumors in some media about the change in the group’s chief minister are not tru.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman today, tweeted that no change had taken place in the cabinet and other parts of the Islamic Emirate.

Meanwhile, Bawaba al-Ahram, an Egyptian media outlet, reported that key changes in the caretaker government had taken place at a Taliban cabinet meeting in Kandahar.

The media claimed that Abdul Ghani Baradar had been appointed as the prime minister of the Taliban-led government, replacing Mohammad Hassan Akhund.

According to the media, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Minister of Interior, has also been appointed as Abdul Ghani Baradar’s deputy, retaining his current position.
