The former president of Afghanistan called on the Taliban to respect the wishes of the Afghan people.
In a newsletter, former Afghan President Hamid Karzai called on the Taliban to respect the wishes of the Afghan people and called for schools to be opened to all girls across the country.
In this newsletter, Mr. Karzai said that the progress and development of Afghanistan depends on the education of the country’s children, both girls and boys.
The former Afghan president called on the Taliban to respect the wishes of the Afghan people, adding that schools should be opened to girls across the country as soon as possible.
Earlier, the Taliban Ministry of Education announced in a statement that the ministry had closed secondary schools and girls’ high schools until further notice, prompting internal and external reactions.
