The Taliban leader issued a decree banning poppy cultivation in Afghanistan

The Taliban leader has issued a decree banning poppy cultivation across Afghanistan and warned that violators will be dealt with.
Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh issued a new order issued today by the group’s interior ministry: “According to the Taliban leader’s order, all Afghans will be informed that poppy cultivation is strictly prohibited throughout the country and no one Can not try to cultivate this plant.
The following commandment is warned: If God does not want anyone to violate, his cultivation will be destroyed and the violator will be dealt with according to Islamic law.
Also, according to this decree, the use and transfer, sale and purchase, import and export, and factories producing any intoxicants such as wine, heroin, glass, tablets, cannabis, etc., are strictly prohibited.
Meanwhile two weeks ago the United Nations announced that narcotics cultivation was still one of the biggest illegal economic activities in Afghanistan.
