Six people were arrested in Herat in connection with drug trafficking

Taliban forces have arrested six people in Herat province on charges of buying and selling drugs and alcohol.
Anti-narcotics officials at the Taliban Police Headquarters in Herat province say six people have been arrested by the group in connection with the sale of drugs and alcohol.
According to them, a large amount of drugs, including cannabis, heroin, glass, fermented raisins and 10 bottles of alcohol, were seized from the detainees and are being monitored by security forces.
Meanwhile, a decree issued two days ago by Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh banned the planting and production of poppy throughout the country.
