The Taliban denied reports of a US airstrike on the group in Helmand

The Taliban have denied reports of US forces bombing the group’s weapons depot in Helmand province.
Enamullah Samangani, the Taliban’s deputy spokesman, tweeted that media reports about the bombing of the group’s weapons depot in Helmand’s Shurabak district were baseless and that the group’s forces had destroyed old mines in a plain in the Shurab area.
He added that no other incidents or airstrikes had taken place in the area.
Some media outlets have reported that about 30 Taliban were killed in a US airstrike on a Taliban weapons depot in Helmand.
