Three people were arrested in Kunduz on drug trafficking charges

Local Taliban officials in Kunduz say they have arrested three people on charges of smuggling 300 kilograms of opium into the province.

Qari Obaidullah Abedi, a spokesman for the Taliban police headquarters in Kunduz, said the three had been arrested last night in the Pul-e-Bangi area of ​​Khanabad district with two weapons.

According to him, the three wanted to transport 300 kilograms of opium to Kandahar in a car.
