A Taliban commander was killed by gunmen in Badakhshan

Local sources in Badakhshan report that a Taliban commander was killed by unknown individuals in the province.

Sources named the Taliban commander as Jawad, saying that he had been killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen in the village of Parnakham in the eighth district of Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province.

According to them, as a result of this attack, a bodyguard of this commander was also wounded.

Local Taliban officials have not yet commented on the attack, and no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Although the Taliban are talking about providing security throughout the country, there has been a significant increase in targeted killings, armed robberies and criminal offenses in the center and provinces of the country recently.
