SIGAR stressed the need to monitor US aid to Afghanistan

The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has said that monitoring is needed to ensure that US aid to Afghanistan is not wasted.

The agency tweeted today (Monday) that the situation in Afghanistan is dire and said that US assistance to the Afghan people will continue to reduce the effects of the humanitarian crisis in the country.

SIGAR stressed that in order not to waste US aid to Afghanistan, it is necessary to monitor it effectively.

SIGAR has repeatedly stressed the need to monitor US aid to Afghanistan.

International aid to Afghanistan has declined since the fall of the previous government.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said yesterday that Afghans were facing a serious food crisis and malnutrition.

Expressing concern over the situation of the Afghan people, the organization wrote in a tweet yesterday that many children have been forced to drop out of school to work hard because of work and support for their families.
