Imran Khan will hold a meeting in Peshawar tomorrow

Pakistan’s ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan has said he will hold a meeting in Peshawar tomorrow and called on all Pakistanis to attend.

Khan wrote on his Twitter page that Pakistan was created as an independent and sovereign state, not as a state under the control of foreign powers.

He added: “We want immediate elections; “This is the only way forward, to allow the people to decide through fair and free elections who they want as their prime minister.”

Meanwhile, Khan was removed from the post of Prime Minister and Shahbaz Sharif was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan after a vote of no confidence in Imran Khan by the Pakistani parliament yesterday.
