Former US Ambassador to Afghanistan: The Taliban has returned to its original principles

The former US ambassador to Afghanistan has said the Taliban has returned to its original principles.

Ross Wilson, the former US ambassador to Afghanistan, said the Taliban were expected to act sensibly this time, but contrary to popular belief, the group has returned to its original principles.

He added that the United States must find a way to support the Afghan people.

It is worth mentioning that after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, many restrictions were imposed on the citizens of this country, especially women, in terms of education and work.

Afghan women are currently not allowed to work in government offices, and girls’ schools in the country are closed to female students above grades six.
