An explosion in Kunduz killed 90 people and injured others

Local sources in Kunduz say an explosion inside a mosque in the province has killed and injured about 90 people.

According to the sources, the explosion took place today (Friday) inside the Maulvi Sekandar Mosque in the Imam Sahib district of the province while the students of this mosque have been engaged in education.

A Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, also confirmed the blast and tweeted that 33 people, including children, had been killed and 43 others wounded in the blast.

He condemned the attack, adding that efforts were being made to arrest the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, an explosion took place in the seventh security district of Kabul today.

The commander of the 7th security district in Kabul says that the incident was caused by a landmine and as a result, one person was injured.
