Child Rescue Fund: Most children in Afghanistan sleep hungry

Save the Children has said that due to rising food prices in Afghanistan during Ramadan, most children have nothing to eat and sleep hungry.

The Children’s Rescue Fund said in a report yesterday that the price of food has almost doubled compared to last year, saying that Ramadan in Islam is a month of arrest and compassion for the needy; But as Afghanistan’s economy nears collapse, a growing number of families are unemployed and destitute.

People who have spoken to the institution have said that they often have nothing to eat and are very afraid to ask what the price of food is on the market.

According to the agency, the war in Ukraine could increase food prices in Afghanistan.
