A rocket-propelled grenade exploded in Helmand, killing a child

Local sources in Helmand report the death of a child as a result of a rocket fire in the province.

According to a newsletter published by the Taliban Information and Culture Department in Helmand, the incident took place yesterday in Greshk district of the province.

According to the newsletter, the incident took place when the children were playing with a rocket-propelled grenade left over from the war.

In the past, civilians, including children, have been killed in explosions left over from the war in most provinces of the country.

Earlier, the United Nations expressed concern over the deaths of civilians as a result of the explosion of ammunition left over from the war in Afghanistan and said that urgent action should be taken to prevent these incidents.
