The Taliban’s director of crime control for Baghlan was assassinated by gunmen

Local sources in Baghlan say that the director of the Taliban police’s crime-fighting unit in the province has been assassinated by gunmen.
According to Salam Watandar, the sources said that Maulvi Nooruddin, director of the Taliban’s crime-fighting unit in Baghlan, was shot dead by gunmen last night.
According to sources, the incident took place in Taleh and Barfak district of the province and gunmen first kicked Maulvi Nooruddin out of his house and then shot him.
Meanwhile, the Taliban governor in Baghlan blamed the incident on personal animosity and said that further investigations were under way.
